In this week’s vlog, I’m still in Ambleside on the edge of Lake Windermere. After a morning of exceptional conditions, I decided to venture out to try and capture a sunset.

In this video, I use my 40-150 to pick out close compositions of the local fells with the rolling clouds. The sunset was a little disappointing but I was greeted with a bit of colour.

My first trip to the Lake District.

The Lake District is a place I have wanted to photograph for a while. I live about two hours drive from the Lakes so getting there is more than a day trip for me. The last few months have been very stressful, so the opportunity to spend three days in a place as scenic as the Lakes was a no brainer.

In this week’s vlog I take a trip to a local railway bridge called The Sankey Viaduct or the Nine Arches as it’s known locally. The Sankey Viaduct started Construction in 1826, opened in 1930 but did not finish until 1836. This is known as the Earliest Railway Viaduct on the World and was designed by the World Famous Goerge Stephenson as was later used to run the Rainhill Trials in which Robert Stephenson with the “Rocket”
