In this weeks video, I decided to go out for a quick photography recce to rediscover a place that I have visited many times when I was younger. My aim was to find a place nearby where I could visit many times to keep my photography brain in check. I think I may have found it.
This place brought back great memories of playing rugby with friends and bunking off school and also remembering the cold and wet mornings doing cross country. I wasn’t one for sports in school.
I didn’t know about this tree, so it was a great find and a place I intend to revisit again and again as the season changes. It was a difficult composition as you’ll see in the video. I talked about distractions in the video especially on the edge of the frame. This was something I was guilty off when I first started photography. There is nothing more that spoils a composition more than a small object poking its nose in the frame.
Here are a couple of images I took on this recce including one that didn’t make the cut as they say in Hollywood. I hope you enjoy the video. Be sure to check out some of my other vlogs.
